WIKF Northern Ireland member clubs offer Wado Ryu karate training in Belfast, Downpatrick, Newtownards, Comber, and Bangor. Beginners are welcome at every club — no previous experience or equipment is needed to start. New to karate? See the Start Karate page.
Queen’s PEC, Belfast — Sensei Michael Cole, 7th Dan. Adults (18+), all experience levels. Mon, Thu, Sat. Free for university students.
Downpatrick Leisure Centre — Sensei Noel Kavanagh, 5th Dan. Separate junior and senior classes. Mon and Sun.
Newtownards, Comber, and Bangor — Sensei Bobby Hamilton, 7th Dan, and Sensei Mark Mawhinney, 4th Dan. All ages and experience levels. Running since 1975.
